Things Are About to Change!

We have all heard, "We are not waiting on God. God is waiting on us." This notion forces us to travel beyond our initial complaint. It shifts the focus so that we check ourselves and our inner attitude. While we are to wait upon the Lord, waiting actually means to: 1) develop our expectancy, 2) raise the bar of our faith and conduct, and 3) exhibit a good attitude regardless of what we witness. How do we achieve this? Be kind to God. When we remember God is relational, it helps us maintain a confident and calm demeanor throughout a trial. Yes, God is waiting on us, too. Generally, He wants our full attention, loyalty and confidence because somehow we have misplaced it. It is counter-intuitive, but the longer we wait, the stronger our faith in God becomes.

You see...

Jesus can turn tables in the temple, or water into wine, at a whim. God can turn the tide of the universe with a thought. It is not a matter of "if He can." It is a matter of "Am I ready?" Live inside your wide-open faith! Life is not for the faint-hearted. Strength is not for the complainers. Victory is not for the mockers. Rather, life is for the faithful. Strength is for the sure. Victory is reserved for overcomers.

God is about to change things.

Our job is to believe.

Taste and see that the Lord is good;
Blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
Psalm of David 34:8 (NIV)

King David wasn't king of his world due to unbelief, or a lack of prayer, or a lack of emotion. He was king because God is real. David was smart enough to accept this as more true than worldly events, including the "all too real" atrocity of battle. God's favor is real! David conceded that he needed it, like armor, to survive a moment here. You see, threats against royalty come from outside forces and those closest to us, and even from inside our own thoughts.

...[B]e strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides].
Put on God’s whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil.
Ephesians 6:10-11 (AMPC)

Belief is a requirement of God, not a passive elective. Get active in your faith! God is good. Say so! Tell Him what you think of Him. Do not be sullen. Open up!

If you want to be God's elect, royalty on His earth, queen or king of the world God has granted you through the authority of Christ, then get back up. Let nothing stop you. Sometimes royalty has to fight a hundred-year war~it's not all glamourous, but the key is to keep your eyes on God.

It amazes me when people do not think God has a heart, or feelings, or emotions. He does. He is waiting on you to elevate Him above everything else in your life, including money, including politics, including circumstance, including relationships with mankind. Then, God will elevate YOU. You see, God can and He will. The question is not our broken heart, it is God's. Let's care more about God's feelings than our own, and we will see change.

Restore relationship with God.

The armor of God requires a backbone or it crushes us. Jesus is our Strength and our Shield. The time to blend forces with Him is now. One hundred percent. This is what we came for! Love outlandishly in Jesus' Name~and start with God! Have faith that will not quit. God has the power. Give God the glory for winning everything now.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Matthew 6:13 (KJV)

Believe.

And you will see.

The spectacular is on everybody's horizon. No one is going to stop God. Every word of God comes true. It marches across time. As for me, I'm asking for and claiming God's favor right now. Like David, I'm going to need it. What about you?

We might adapt the phrase we started with to say, "We are waiting on God and God is waiting on us." There will come a pivotal moment when God looks into your eyes and smiles at you. And you smile. Suddenly, He will say, "Let's go." You will not be waiting anymore! You will be moving and seeing the deliverance of the Lord! When that time comes, you will understand the wait now. You will be glad you maintained the good fight of faith all the way through.

God is always with you~always has been, always will be. And God is always good.

Therefore,

Expect the Lord.

Things are about to change.
