If you have been brought to repentance...

If you have been brought to repentance (repented of all your former sin), received the Lord’s forgiveness by faith through the blood of Christ, and something happens in your life that is difficult to understand.., it is NOT necessarily due to your former sin. It is far more likely in this type of case that the workings and manifestations of God are soon to be displayed in your Victory. Remember: 1) victory in Christ is usually against all odds on the earth, and so will appear impossible to the vast majority of people around you; and, 2) God is not punishing you, as this would negate the sacrifice His Own Son made on your behalf. Rather, the war is still on and you are still in it. Consider these passages:

Therefore let us go on and get past the elementary stage in the teachings and doctrine of Christ (the Messiah), advancing steadily toward the completeness and perfection that belong to spiritual maturity.
Let us not again be laying the foundation of repentance and abandonment of dead works (dead formalism) and of the faith [by which you turned] to God, With teachings about purifying, the laying on of hands [to pray for/heal (author's)], the resurrection from the dead, and eternal judgment and punishment. [These are all matters of which you should have been fully aware long, long ago.] If indeed God permits, we will [now] proceed [to advanced teaching].
For it is impossible [to restore and bring again to repentance] those who have been once for all enlightened, who have consciously tasted the heavenly gift and have become sharers of the Holy Spirit, And have felt how good the Word of God is and the mighty powers of the age and world to come, If they then deviate from the faith and turn away from their allegiance—[it is impossible] to bring them back to repentance, for (because, while, as long as) they nail upon the cross the Son of God afresh [as far as they are concerned] and are holding [Him] up to contempt and shame and public disgrace.
For the soil which has drunk the rain that repeatedly falls upon it and produces vegetation useful to those for whose benefit it is cultivated partakes of a blessing from God. But if [that same soil] persistently bears thorns and thistles, it is considered worthless and near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned (Hebrews 6:1-8, AMPC).

In other words, it is not of the new nature of a born again Christian to continue to willingly and consciously sin. God knows that because He imparted that obedient quality to you upon your Salvation and acceptance of Jesus Christ. Consider also…

As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us (Psalm 103:12, AMPC).

Christ’s body was stretched out and sacrificed in order to remove your sin entirely from you, even if it was world-wide in scale. Further, Christ is Healer (Savior/Sozo is His Name—a word that means physical and spiritual healing with no divide between the terms):

As He passed along, He noticed a man blind from his birth. His disciples asked Him, Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he should be born blind? Jesus answered, It was not that this man or his parents sinned, but he was born blind in order that the workings of God should be manifested (displayed and illustrated) in him. We must work the works of Him Who sent Me and be busy with His business while it is daylight; night is coming on, when no man can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the world’s Light. When He had said this, He spat on the ground and made clay (mud) with His saliva, and He spread it [as ointment] on the man’s eyes. And He said to him, Go, wash in the Pool of Siloam—which means Sent. So he went and washed, and came back seeing (John 9:1-7, AMPC).

The Lord will heal you today, often in unexpected and unconventional ways, so you know it was Him at work in you. Be prepared, however, to be Sent—to go FORWARD in your boldness and proclamation of the Word of God to other people. Do not retreat.

Paul stated:

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the [sound of the] last trumpet call. For a trumpet will sound, and the dead [in Christ] will be raised imperishable (free and immune from decay), and we shall be changed (transformed). For this perishable [part of us] must put on the imperishable [nature], and this mortal [part of us, this nature that is capable of dying] must put on immortality (freedom from death). And when this perishable puts on the imperishable and this that was capable of dying puts on freedom from death, then shall be fulfilled the Scripture that says, Death is swallowed up (utterly vanquished forever) in and unto victory (1 Corinthians 15:52-54, AMPC).

This means that the physical body, and the ties to this world that you have placed stock in, will somewhat unravel with time. However, true strength is found in God—the Source of Life. So, what you lack in the body, God will manifest in the Spirit. Ask! He will increase His contribution to sustain you.

He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the groomsman who stands by and listens to him rejoices greatly and heartily on account of the bridegroom’s voice. This then is my pleasure and joy, and it is now complete. He must increase, but I must decrease. [He must grow more prominent; I must grow less so.] He Who comes from above (heaven) is [far] above all [others]; he who comes from the earth belongs to the earth, and talks the language of earth [his words are from an earthly standpoint]. He Who comes from heaven is [far] above all others [far superior to all others in prominence and in excellence] (John 3:29-31, AMPC).

You may feel that you just got your life together and the physical begins to wane. Take care of the body, heart, soul and mind as it is all the house of the Lord, but cast your care on Him in so doing for your life, your body, belongs to Creator God anyway…

Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own (1 Corinthians 6:19, AMPC).

We are all being called Home—gradually and suddenly. There is no need, then, to be ashamed of or even fear physical issues as you age here. “Casting your care” on God means to vehemently throw your health issue to God like a high-speed pitcher (1 Peter 5:7). He is “standing by” in the Spirit of Him, at all times, to catch and handle your trouble. (Parakletos, the name for the Holy Spirit of God, means “stand by”.) Supernatural grace will infuse and correct and use your trial to impart faith to many. The overall picture of life is that we are on this earth to steadily walk toward God, with the ultimate goal of entering Heaven—our Prize is the Presence of God, which Jesus paid for. This progression of faith requires steps, stages, and degrees of continual release of the old and constant embrace of the new. Fear means to shock you, consume you, paralyze you, silence you—like the one by the pool who could not move forward in faith until he encountered Jesus alone (see John 5). Jesus is Victory. He wins, not only you, but every Heavenly Prize there is. Please know you have not failed if you must endure a health issue. You are not alone in your situation. Jesus Himself will find you by your pool and lift you out of this, too.

May God bless you and prove Himself exceedingly strong in your life, regardless of circumstance.

Be healed in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
