Pinion: Soar to a Higher Standard

Psalm 91:4-6 (NIV) says:
He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.

Sometimes we find it difficult to trust God but this is not because God is not trustworthy

or true. Rather, it is because we have become complicated or jaded due to being residents

in a fallen world.

It’s ok. You can begin again knowing the Bible stands true—it always will. In God, you

can confidently place your trust. All of it. He always has fresh faith and fresh grace for you.

Sometimes relationships or certain situations cause us stress and worry. Negative

circumstances can seemingly chip away at our faith. But God is above all of the

complication. He covers, and recovers you, as much as you need. He loves you enough to

reach down and assist you with everything that concerns you.

Trust, like faith, can elude us. For example, we have no problem trusting God to make air

available for our next breath. This is because we are not thinking about it! We are simply

breathing because He allows us to. Likewise, there is not enough gold in the mountain to

feed the entire world. There is not enough currency in existence to keep the world going.

God does it—and He partners with us. He does miracle after miracle, moment after

moment, whether we are cognizant He is supplying our “air” (and everything else we

need) or not. You see, God is still on the throne, He still loves us, and He wants us to:

  1. Recognize He is still our sole Provider, and

  2. Let go of fear and take up the courage we need to serve Him boldly.

You can trust God regarding every detail in your life—great or small. You can reside in the

Secret Place of the Most High God and also step forward bravely to do His will on the

earth. If God is for you, who can stand against you? (See Romans 8:31.) Let nothing stop

you from doing the will of God.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
